BOQ Item Description: SUPPLY OF SAFETY HELMET AS PER IS 2925. 1 Specifications Helmet shall confirm to IS 2925 Latest edition. 2 Shell Shall be made of high density thermoplastic material such as polyethylene polycarbonate etc. 3 Headband Shall not be less than 30mm and it shall be securely attached to the helmet shell. It should have a sweating band all along the Head band. 4 Ventilation Distance of headband from shell shall be minimum 5 mm. Spacer shall be provided to achieve the gap. 5 Cradle Headband shall be fitted with anti concussion tapes secured at least at 4 points and forming a cradle. Width of straps shall not be less than 19mm. Straps shall ensure clearance of at least 30 mm between top of wearers head and the inside of the helmet crown at the smallest size adjustment of the headband and a wearing height depth of fit of not less than 80mm at the maximum size adjustment of headband. 6 Chin Strap It shall be attached to the shell be at least 19 mm wide permanently fitted with a fastening device to adjust and maintain tension. 7 Nape Strap Nepe shall be provided as an integral part of the head band and shall be of adjustable type.
